Vacant position: Laboratory Manager – Industrial Products Testing Laboratory

Position: Head of Laboratory

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the technical and administrative activities of the laboratory;
  • Ensuring the correct application of standardized methods and internal procedures;
  • Verifying and approving the results obtained from testing;
  • Managing the maintenance of laboratory equipment and infrastructure;
  • Organizing and monitoring the training, authorization, and evaluation of personnel;
  • Implementing and maintaining the quality management system in accordance with SM EN ISO/IEC 17025;
  • Expanding the laboratory’s accreditation scope in line with technical regulations and national consumer protection policies.

Candidate Requirements:

Education:
A degree (bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate) in a technical field under study area 071 “Engineering and Engineering Activities,” as per the National Classification of Fields of Study and Specialties in Higher Education.

Professional Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in laboratory testing of industrial products.

Knowledge and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of current legislation and its application in professional activity;
  • Familiarity with technical requirements for electrical safety and related regulations;
  • Understanding of testing methods, data interpretation, and result reporting;
  • Knowledge of the operation and use of measuring equipment;
  • Implementation of quality management systems according to SM EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018;
  • Computer literacy (Windows, MS Office);
  • Fluent in Romanian (advanced level), Russian and English (intermediate level);
  • Compliance with safety rules and workplace environment requirements.

  • Ensuring the quality and accuracy of tests within the accreditation scope;
  • Applying corrective measures and managing non-conformities;
  • Maintaining discipline within the team;
  • Ensuring confidentiality of data and results;
  • Providing accurate reporting to upper management.
